Words matter
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof (Proverbs 18: 21).
Man was created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1: 26). “And the Lord formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2: 7). The literal translation of that verse is – man became a living, speaking spirit.
God in his wisdom and sovereignty gave man the same creative power as Himself, through words. Not surprising then that words matter. The Bible declared that we can have what we say (Mark 11: 23 – 24).
